Parking at the road side on the way to the Youth Hostel, we cross Levers Water Beck to join the main path to Crowberry Haws. Climbing past the old mine workings past Low Water to the summit of The Old Man. From the summit we took the path along the ridge to Brim Fell. We continued along the ridge to Levers Hawes to follow the path down to Levers Water at Gill Cove. From Levers Water we took the old mine road back to the Youth Hostel.
