Welcome to my website. I created this site to record my personal attempt to climb all of the 214 Lakeland fells featured in Alfred Wainwright’s pictorial guides. Each fell will be added to the site as they are completed, giving details of the route taken. In addition to the fells of The Lake District, I’ve included walks not covered by the guides as well as a little about my family.

Summits - Place Fell

Our first full day back in The Lakes for some time - Place Fell today. Parking at The Patterdale hotel we crossed the fields to Side Farm and took the path to Boredale Hause, after a quick break we leave Boredale Hause and head towards place Fell summit. Into the clouds, the temperature drops and underfoot we have snow and ice. The summit is grey and cold but we find a sheltered spot for a quick lunch stop, we then followed the path towards High Dodd and down to the lakeside path along Ullswater.
