Total Distance, 8.47km (5.26 miles) - Total Ascent, 647m (2122ft) - Time Taken, 5hrs 15mins - Date, 30/11/09 - Weather, Clear, strong winds, 3°c - Wind Chill -13°c Day two of my trip, following a night in the bunkhouse we head for Scandale Pass and the summit of Red Screes. The wind gets steadily stronger is we climb, at around 670 meters snow covers the ground. By the time we summit the wind is that strong it’s difficult holding the camera steady. Leaving Red Screes we follow the path over to Middle Dodd, then down into Patterdale and Sykeside.
