The Far Eastern Fells - Book Two
The Far Eastern Fells was the second book published by Alfred Wainwright in 1957. The book covers the 35 fells from Pooley Bridge in the north to Troutbeck in the south, its eastern border being Longsleddale and the western Kirkstone Pass. AW’s description – “In one respect, indeed, they are supreme, for their extensive and uplifting views across the distant Pennines are a delight not to be found elsewhere in the district”
