Welcome to my website. I created this site to record my personal attempt to climb all of the 214 Lakeland fells featured in Alfred Wainwright’s pictorial guides. Each fell will be added to the site as they are completed, giving details of the route taken. In addition to the fells of The Lake District, I’ve included walks not covered by the guides as well as a little about my family.
The main aim for today was to climb Crinkle Crags, something I've wanted to do for some time. Parking at the National Trust car park at the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel, we walked across the fields to Stool End.
Our third attempt at Loughrigg Fell (the previous two attempts halted by the weather). Clear skies gave us great panoramic views, including yesterdays walk.
We started from Greasmere and headed for Sourmilk Gill. Leaving the main footpath at the Juniper bushes we cross the Gill to follow the ridge path up to the summit of Tarn Crag.
