Route Map

The weather forecast had predicted heavy rain as I set out from Sadgill for my walk around the Longsleddale round.
Approaching Shipman Knotts the cloud covered the summit blocking out the views I was hoping to see across to High Street. The cloud remained as I past Kentmere Pike and Harter Fell, and I resided myself to descending via Gatescarth Pass. As I passed Little Harter Fell the cloud lifted. The second half of the walk back to Sadgill was clear from cloud and rain, almost a summer’s day.
